Marufa Akter Upoma joined as a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at Baylor University in Fall 2022 semester. Upoma received her Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) in 2019. Currently, she is studying M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (ME) at Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). Her research interests include interfacial fluid mechanics, and drop oscillation dynamics. In her free time Upoma enjoys exploring new restaurants and foods, watching TV series and spending time with her family & friends. She is from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Pooria Pirdavari is a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at Baylor. During his Bachelor’s (Urmia University of Technology) and Master’s (Sahand University of Technology) degrees, he did research in different fields such as HVAC&R systems, Solar Energy, and Phase Change Materials (PCM). His current research interests are micro-mixers, micro-separators, and water purification techniques. During his free time, Pooria enjoys hanging out with his friends and watching movies. He is from Urmia, Iran.
Huy Q. Tran (PhD Candidate) is currently a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at Baylor University. Huy is a Christian and received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Baylor University in 2019. His area of research is in drop oscillation physics and inkjet printing. In his part time, he enjoys playing guitar and spending time with his friends. He is from Hanoi, Vietnam.
Min Y Pack (PI) is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Baylor University. Min obtained his bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science from Pennsylvania State University and master’s degree in Sustainable Engineering from Villanova University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Drexel University in the area of complex fluids and multiphase flows. Min also conducted postdoctoral work in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department at Princeton University.
